Francis Badasu, Senior Consultant has over 28 years experience as a banking and non-bank financial institutions regulatory specialist. As Head of the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Department of the Bank of Ghana, Francis played a key role in the overall design and enforcement of legislation and rules for banks and non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) in Ghana. As legal consultant and NBFI regulation specialist, Francis has served on two IMF/AFRITAC Missions to provide technical assistance to the Bank of Uganda (Supervision Department) to develop regulations for NBFIs in Uganda. As team member of the Lawfields team, Francis plays a key role in our banking law practice as well as our financial sector policy and regulatory advisory work. He is a product of the University of Ghana, Legon, and is a member of the Ghana Bar Association.
